What is QR Code to URL?
A QR code is just text drawn as a pattern, usually a web address. Phones open that address as soon as they read it, which makes QR codes an easy way to hide where a link really goes. Decoding the code first shows you the full address, so you can check the domain before you visit it.
The code is read entirely in your browser; the image never leaves your device. Besides links, it understands Wi‑Fi login codes (network name and password), email and SMS codes, phone numbers, contact cards (vCard and MeCard), and map locations. Anything else is shown as plain text.

How do I get the URL from a QR code image?

Is my image uploaded?
No. The QR code is decoded by JavaScript in your browser, and the image stays on your device. Nothing is stored or sent to a server.
Can I scan a QR code with my laptop camera?
Yes. Select Scan with camera and allow camera access when the browser asks. Hold the code steady and fill about half the frame. The camera stops as soon as a code is read.
Why can't it find the QR code?
The code may be blurry, cropped, too small, or photographed at a steep angle. Retake the photo straight on, in good light, with the whole code visible. Codes with a logo in the middle usually still work.
Is it safe to open the link?
Check the domain shown above the link. Be careful with shortened links, misspelled brand names, and pages asking you to log in or pay. Only web, email, phone, and SMS links can be opened from this page; anything else is shown as text.
